Definitions
- Arbitrator - Independent referee who settles a dispute without the need to use the courts.
- Child assessment order - An order which a local authority may apply to a court for to assess a child's situation if there are concerns about the child's welfare
- Decree nisi - A provisional court order which orders that a marriage should be dissolved. It will become a final legal decision on the marriage unless a reason is given.
